Alta Fides AG is now YOUNIQ AG
Alta Fides AG has been rebranded following a sound majority vote at the quoted company’s shareholder meeting on 23 June 2009. The company is now called YOUNIQ AG and has been entered into the commercial register.
The idea behind the name-change of this project developer, portfolio holder and propertymanager is to showcase the company's successful reorientation of business activities toward the student housing segment through its corporate identity. At the same time, developmentand sales of listed housing will be progressed. During the past six months, the company hasestablished the "YOUNIQ" brand as a comprehensive concept for student housing. The company’s name-change coincides with the relocation of its headquarters from Stuttgart to Frankfurt am Main.
YOUNIQ properties are conceptual real estate for student tenants. In addition to highquality, fully-furnished apartments, the concept offers a wide range of recreational activities, discounts on products and services, as well as assisted living options – the campus world of “YOUNIQ World.” The scope of the programme extends from inexpensive access to fitness studios, to hosted student parties, all the way to degree and career-planning services. YOUNIQ AG already has atrack record of more than 500 successfully marketed housing units at concept property locations in Greifswald, Leipzig, and Erlangen. Properties in Munich and Karlsruhe are under construction and other projects are in the final planning stage. This makes the new YOUNIQ AG Germany’s market leader in the field. In 2009 and 2010, the company will invest more than 200m € in student housing, with substantially higher investment volumes earmarked for the years thereafter. Overall, the plans call for the completion of at least 1,500 to 2,500 housing units annually, commencing in 2010. YOUNIQ AG intends to retain some of the properties in its own portfolio, while selling others to institutional or private investors. With a 98 percent interest, the majority shareholder of YOUNIQ AG is a fund owned by the private equity investor and asset manager, CORESTATE Capital AG.

YOUNIQ AG (until mid-2009 "Alta Fides AG") is a quoted portfolio owner, project developer and specialist in student and listed housing, with headquarters in Frankfurt. With units under management throughout Germany, the company is the market leader in the German "Student Housing" segment. YOUNIQ AG is already active in this segment today, developing and managing student housing facilities nationwide, under the name "YOUNIQ". Three properties in Greifswald, Leipzig and Erlangen have been in operation since the 2009 summer semester, providing a total of over 500 housing units. Further projects will soon be under construction or are in the final stages of design. The majority shareholder in YOUNIQ AG, with 98 percent, is a fund of the private equity investor and asset manager, CORESTATE Capital AG. The commitment of this Swiss firm places YOUNIQ AG in the position of being able to implement their ambitious plans: Over 200m Euro will be invested in student housing in 2009 and 2010; the annual investment volume is expected to increase substantially in the years thereafter. A total of 1,500 to 2,500 housing units per year are scheduled for completion from 2010.
